FAQ

Questions about automation and artificial intelligence

Straightforward answers to the most common questions about digital transformation, solution implementation and measurable results.

Which business processes can be automated?

L
K
Almost all of your company’s repetitive and manual processes can be automated. Some common examples include: managing invoices and payments, processing administrative data, monitoring stock and inventory levels, overseeing operational tasks, validating information, generating reports, quality control in production, synchronising data between systems, sending automatic notifications, and analysing patterns in large volumes of data. During a diagnostic session, we identify the processes that stand to benefit most from automation.

What are the main benefits of automating processes?

L
K

Automation delivers tangible and measurable results: reduced operating costs (fewer manual hours spent on repetitive tasks), increased team productivity (your staff can focus on activities of greater strategic value), a drastic reduction in human error, faster process execution, stricter compliance with regulations, and an improved ability to make decisions based on real-time data. In the projects we have implemented, the average reduction in manual tasks is 40 per cent, and administrative processes are completed three times faster.

What is the difference between RPA automation and artificial intelligence?

L
K

RPA (robotic process automation) automates structured and predictable tasks according to fixed rules: filling in forms, validating data, generating reports. Artificial intelligence goes a step further: it analyses information, detects patterns, learns from data and can make automated decisions in complex and unpredictable scenarios. At A2DARE, we combine both: we use RPA for repetitive tasks and predictive AI for advanced analysis. The solution depends on your specific situation.

How long does it take to implement an automation solution?

L
K

The timeframe varies depending on the complexity of the project. The initial assessment is usually completed within 1–2 weeks: we analyse your processes, identify areas for improvement and propose an action plan. The first automations can be up and running within 4–8 weeks if the processes are simple. More complex projects (integrations involving multiple systems, bespoke software development) may take 3–6 months. The important thing is that we set realistic deadlines from the outset and have consistently delivered on each stage.

What is the typical investment, and how much of it is recouped?

L
K

There is no single figure because every business is different. Small automation projects can cost between 5,000 and 20,000 euros, whilst complex integrations or bespoke software development require a greater investment. The important thing is that the ROI (return on investment) is usually quick: if your company spends 50,000 euros a year on manual tasks within a process and you automate it, the investment pays for itself within 6–12 months. After that, it’s all savings and improvements. During the initial consultation, we analyse your specific case and project the expected return.

Does automation take away jobs?

L
K

No. Automation does not eliminate jobs; rather, it transforms work. What happens is that your team stops spending time on repetitive, manual tasks and instead focuses on higher-value activities: strategic analysis, customer relations, innovation and decision-making. We have worked with hundreds of companies and the experience is always the same: the team sees automation as a relief from the workload, not as a threat. Furthermore, implementation requires your staff to understand how the new solution works, so there is a training and support component included in every project.

How is data protected in an automation system?

L
K

Security is a critical component of any automation project. At A2DARE, we apply standards for encryption, access control, operational auditing and regulatory compliance (GDPR, ISO 27001, sector-specific certifications). Every solution we develop includes security validations right from the design phase. If your company handles sensitive data (customer, financial or production data), we address this with specific protocols. During the initial consultancy, we assess your security requirements and incorporate them into the project.

Do I need to change my current ERP systems or software?

L
K

Not necessarily. One of our core services is smart systems integration: we connect your ERP, CRM, management software and external platforms without the need to replace them. We create a unified digital ecosystem where data flows automatically between tools, eliminating silos and manual synchronisation tasks. If your current software works but is disconnected, integration may be the solution. If it is obsolete or causing bottlenecks, then we do assess whether to modernise or replace it. The decision is always based on a specific assessment of your situation.

How does A2DARE Innovation Cantabria SL differ from other technology consultancy firms?

L
K

The main difference is that we do not sell off-the-shelf solutions. Many consultancy firms resell standard software or predefined packages. At A2DARE, we develop every solution from scratch, tailored precisely to the way your business operates. We have a combined team of consultants and developers: you don’t need to coordinate with multiple partners. We are committed to measurable results and support you until they are achieved. And as we are based in Cantabria, we understand the local business context and that of the whole of Spain.

What is the first step if I want to automate processes in my company?

L
K

The first step is always a free initial consultation. We offer a 45-60 minute session during which we analyse your current situation, identify areas for improvement and provide a no-obligation action plan. During this conversation, we’ll also answer any questions you may have and provide approximate quotes and timelines. If you’re interested in proceeding, we’ll carry out a more in-depth analysis. If not, we’ll provide our recommendations. Our aim is for you to make an informed decision based on real data about your business, not on high-pressure sales tactics.

Shall we talk about your project?

If you have processes that need improving or systems that need integrating,
we’d be delighted to hear from you.
